green milk again...?!?
Quick photo before going to church.
Everyone loves to stare at the transfer board. Glen was in the midst of transfer planning, which means any photo card on the board that is crooked is now in a new area. Lots of changes go on with every transfer. It's the nature of the thing!
The Radfords had their daughter Melanie and her friend Kristin visiting over the weekend. Sister Kim Radford sits at the front desk in the mission office and the notes her daughter left for her caught the eye of our grandchildren.
They spied the note that said "We love Grandma Kim."
Natalie declared, "We love Grandma Kim, too!" That sparked her to reach for the marker and start making a rival sticky note.
That then gave the other children ideas and they began to make sticky notes for every person who works in the mission office. These are the love notes for our assistants.
Luke wrote one that said, "You ROCK. (I think so I don't know you.)" That's Elder Radford's kind of humor and he loved it.
We took a trip to the Mormon Battalion.
The kids love that place. Panning for gold, pumping water and making bricks is so much fun after going on the tour.
One of the missionaries who just happened to be one of our tour guides is the sister of Jacob's first missionary companion that he met last year when he went to the Mormon Battalion.
How random is that since different companionships of sisters rotate their time spent at the historic site every day?!?
The day's activities were not over yet. Popcorn time!!!!
It isn't popcorn until Glen sings "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" to whichever little grandchildren are sitting on the cabinet waiting for the corn to pop.Monday morning Glen got up super early to take Jacob to the airport so he could work in Cincinnati for a couple of days. That got scheduled after Jacob's family had made plans to come here for the week.
But we made do with Jacob going out of town and Glen working all day reading and answering the missionaries' letters.
The rest of us went to LEGOLAND!!!! Let's face it--two exits away from us--can't beat that location for a day of fun in the sun with Laurie and the grandchildren.
It was a fun day for us ending in a nice dinner at Olive Garden with Glen. We were so happy he joined us for at least that part of the day.
The real highlight of the day came when the little ones were in bed and Laurie, Natalie, Emma and I sat around the kitchen table playing my favorite game. Qwirkle!!!!
It has been a while since I played the game and I am happy to report--I still LOVE it!!
