This is the scene we saw on Christmas morning--Eli sitting happily on the living room floor playing with a cellophane-wrapped gift and Brooke and Caroline sitting on the kitchen floor eating their little cereals.
Apparently Brooke likes to hide under the kitchen table when she's getting into trouble. Looks like Caroline is learning from her big sister to do the same.
I didn't really know what was wrong with them eating the cereal that Santa had left for them. Perhaps they broke into the little boxes without asking their mother's permission.
Or perhaps they were enjoying their freedom knowing that captivity was soon to follow. Caroline was put in the high chair to finish eating her cereal and Brooke was put on a chair so she could get her hair done while eating her cereal.
And those weren't the only girls primping in preparation for being ready to open presents. Sarah got busy putting on her Christmas toe-socks for the occasion.
Abe had the honors of reading the Christmas story from the Bible while the family listened to what was read.
Let the opening of the gifts begin!
Loved the adorable, new, pink boots, but my favorite was the pink hat that Brooke placed atop the big dalmatian's head.
Mom was thrilled with the gift receipt from Dad that shows pre-payment for their whole house to have the carpets cleaned.
Hmmmmm...
Knowing there's a gigantic spot on our family room carpet under the bright, green "believe" rug just waiting for my attention after the Christmas decorations are put away, I must admit I was very envious of Mom's gift.
Caroline loves her new car seat.
Rebecca slaved many countless hours making these quiet books for the girls.
We had surprise visitors from Klarissa's sister Jen and her husband Jordan. They were on their way to the airport and didn't stay long.
Brooke and Caroline had a little snack under the kitchen table (again) before our actual Christmas meal.
After dinner we entertained the little people, played games, talked, laughed and rested.
It was a very nice day.
