The day of the event that the guys had been waiting for had finally arrived. Nani wanted to play a trick on Glen. She thought it would be funny to dress in a red, University of Utah shirt and see Glen's reaction when he saw her first thing on game day. Don't know if this picture shows the complete look of disgust on his face when they came to get us for breakfast, but it was funny!

I had provided a BYU shirt for Nani to wear that day and she took off the red shirt to reveal her appropriate attire for the day.

Kenny and Nani have something in common in that he doesn't own a BYU shirt, either. Fortunately I came prepared with several extra shirts and Glen gave him one to wear.

Just having a little photo fun in the mirrored elevator.

Don't we all look cute in our BYU shirts? It's the last we saw of that shirt on Kenny. He took it off right after breakfast.

As was the norm--Nani and I went off on our own for a few hours to do our thing while the guys did their boring thing like sitting around watching sporting events. We went to see the Bodies exhibit at the Luxor.

Nani had never seen the MGM lion, so we were off to get her photo with the famous lion.

We hooked back up with the guys (note Kenny is back in his original shirt because it has a pocket for his glasses) at the theater in the Miracle Mile Shops to watch a variety show featuring a magician and a juggler.

Kenny opted out of an early dinner with us at the Planet Hollywood buffet because he wasn't very hungry and wanted to eat something at the ball game. I'm pretty sure our dinner was better than his, but I guess for some people you just can't beat a ball park frank.
Here we are at the BYU/UNLV football game and surprisingly Glen doesn't look like Kenny with his head all rigged up with headphones completely blocking out any thoughts of interaction with human life sitting right next to him as he usually is during a game. No--tragically his headset ran out of battery power shortly into the game and he was forced to take it off and then he could actually hear anything Nani or I might want to say to him.

I got a little bored at one point during the game and entertained myself by taking self-portraits of Nani and me. Pretty soon the guys behind us started posing for our shots. Hmmmm, they must have been bored, too??

The guy in front of us had brought some of his co-workers with him and even provided a BYU hat for his friend to wear to the game. The friend went one step further and made himself a blue T-shirt to wear that said "My WIVES and I Love BYU". He had his wife wear the "Wife #1" shirt and then got his friends' wives to wear the "Wife #2" and "Wife #3" shirts. He did cheer a lot for BYU, but it seemed strange that such a devoted fan would also be drinking beer at the same time.

Here are the happy game-goers at the end of the winning game.

We had such a fun trip, but as the saying goes "all good things must come to an end." So, after our last buffet breakfast, we were on the road again heading north to home.
We did manage to fit in a brief stop in Cedar City for a very short visit with Jeff and Sarah during their Sunday School hour of church. No--contrary to what you might think, Jeff is not still very attached to his old missionary name tag and likes to wear it each week. He is required to wear this name tag while serving in his new calling as counselor in the singles ward bishopric. Sarah made us some cute Halloween cookies that Nani and I enjoyed eating on the way home. Thanks, Sarah, for being so thoughtful!!!

Once back home, Glen took a minute to show Nani the new family history program on the computer. He's very excited about it and loves to share his newfound knowledge.

You go, girl, on getting our side of the family's genealogy all done!!
