Sweating to the Oldies Or Oldies Doing the Sweating

Glen and I have been trying our best to get our exercise quota in each week. We have been using the treadmill and lifting weights.

And we were able to go on our first bike ride of the season on Saturday. Wahoo!!

My hope is that I whittle down a bit from my exercising efforts. Right now it appears that Glen is the only one slimming down. Congrats to him!!! Do you think I should follow his lead to eat less and cut out sweets from my diet?

FAT chance!!

What It Takes To Keep Brooke Occupied On General Conference Weekend

Dallas and Rebecca brought the girls up on Saturday to participate in that day's sessions of General Conference with us. I know Glen was happy to have a son go with him to the Priesthood Session. Dallas even talked Glen into going down to the Conference Center to view the proceedings in person and they were lucky enough to get in despite the extremely long line of men and boys waiting to get inside the building. Don't these guys look handsome as they are telling Brooke good-bye?

These are the guys earlier in the day listening to a session of conference.

Here's Caroline playing happily during one of the sessions.

And here is what it took for Brooke to be happy during conference: practicing letters with her mother.

Building a marker tower.

Playing with the SkipBo and Uno cards, coloring, sorting colored pencils, playing with the Easter decorations, eating pretzels and fishies, etc.

Counting moneys.

And lining up food storage cans in the basement.

What a busy girl!

Mother Nature's April Fool's Joke

This is the scene we awoke to this morning. So much for thinking spring is here. It looks more like winter.

Ahhhhh, but there are some definite signs of spring getting closer. The snow doesn't stick to the sidewalk and the road.

And there was a robin sitting on a snowy limb of our tree.

Spring will be here in no time despite this funny joke.

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!!!
