They finally arrived!! Who???

The Excell family, that's who!! We were excited to see them and it looks like they were excited to see us.

I think Jonah was happy to be out of his car seat at least.

Having dinner was first on the agenda.

Evening fun was provided by Carson and his new glow-in-the-dark puzzle he had gotten for his birthday.

The next day we were off to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. I told the kids to go stand in front of the palm trees so I could take their picture. They followed directions perfectly.

After the zoo we were starving. Golden Corral sounded like the perfect spot for us!

Our favorite dinner moment was when Carson looked over at Lincoln and disgustedly told him his face was so dirty. Lincoln immediately shot back the retort that Carson's face was very dirty, too.

It was a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black! Or Jeff's quoting Matthew from the Bible, "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" So funny!!

Let's make note that all of the grandboys enjoyed their chocolate-covered strawberries and chocolate-covered marshmallows.

We sure had a fun day at the zoo and at Golden Corral with this bunch of boys.

This is how the second attempt at getting a family photo in front of the palm trees turned out.

We went to the Flower Fields. Hurrah that they were still in beautiful bloom stage.

Perfect backdrop for a couples photo.

Until Jonah made his way into the photo...

Off we went to Annie's Canyon. It's a popular hike with all the grandchildren. I ended up staying in the car with a sleeping Jonah. Glen meandered along with a pokey Lincoln.

 They made it all the way to the slot canyon, through it and came out on top.

We bid the Excells good-bye so we could go to a baptism while they ventured off to the beach.

The kids didn't last long at the beach because as soon as they got wet, they were freezing!!! Lincoln made an instant beeline to turn on the electric heater when they got home.

The community bath helped warm up all the little boys.

Lincoln became so attached to his goggles that he wore them everywhere he went.

Back at home the Easter egg coloring began.

It was a lot of fun packed into one day. With more fun to follow.
