Our dear friend Jan was at it again. She and Bill invited us all to a Mother's Day dinner at their home. As is always the case--if someone says they will feed me (and my husband), I am all in!!
Her table was so beautifully set with spring colors.
We were missing Dennis and Jane Crandall at the beginning when we were getting photos taken. They arrived a little late to the dinner.
Rick and Debi Winder; Grant and Diane Stewart; Bruno and Colleen Kossin; Lane and LaVona Lewis; Bill and Jan Evans; and Glen and me.
It was time once again to go to Hale to see the play Hello, Dolly!
The set was beautifully set up with chandeliers above and a tiny circular city with a huge, white-gloved hand holding a business card.
The hand turned round and round so we all could see the writing on the card, "Mrs. Dolly Levi, Matchmaking."
We all absolutely loved that play. It was a grand production with lots of singing and dancing. I thought Little Mermaid was my favorite, but this one now has that one beat. It was soooo good!!!!!
Sunday was Mother's Day.
We had Natalie, Rebecca's, Sarah's and Ben's families over for dinner. It was nice to feed Ben and Haley before they headed off to the hospital to spend time with Maverick. Kade and Levi had plenty of cousins around to play with while they were gone.
These are the photos of when Glen was spreading out mulch in the yard.
I could not figure out why his head had such weird lines on it. He explained it was because he put his dirty fingers up to scratch his head.
We met our missionary Joey and Natalie Kiehl at Goodwood. He is following in his father's footsteps and is studying to become a doctor. They will be moving to Texas in the fall for medical school.
On Thursday, after our usual temple ordinance work was finished, we drove up to Maddox to meet with our missionary Kendra Shakespear Olson and her husband Forrest. She holds the record of the missionary with the most children. They have four children.
Sarah and I went to Maggie's baby shower at Andy and Amanda's home. When we walked in, Mom was noticing how she and Maggie and I were all in the same color scheme.
Amanda is so creative with her cake-decorating skills. These teddy bear cupcakes were so adorable and so delicious!!
These little bear snack cups were so cute as well.
We kept exclaiming over the huge flowers made by Lindsey. They were so beautiful! We received little jars of honey and little bags of teddy grahams as our take-home gifts.
Everything there was a feast for the eyes. So cute. So adorable. So fun to be there.
Even though this diaper cake was not edible, the rest of the food was very delicious. It was such a treat to have a girls' afternoon out. I loved it so much. I just wish Rebecca had been able to go with us. She had other commitments with her children and hadn't been able to go.
Glen had a birthday. The Goldens came to deliver their birthday gift to him. It was a large bird feeder with a big bag of bird seed.
Apparently, they had observed Glen watching the birds from our kitchen window and thought he would enjoy a bird feeder so a lot more birds would fly into our yard. So sweet of them.
We had a dinner date with Glen's sisters and their husbands at Goodwood.
One of the young men that Glen used to home teach with was having his reception in Draper. We decided to go to the Draper Temple to do sealings before the reception. In between those activities, we went to dinner at JCW's. They serve very tall milk shakes!!
Dallas made a call for help one morning while Glen and I were out walking. We hurried to the car and rushed to Dallas's work to see what was going on with him. He was one miserable man. I drove his car home while Glen took Dallas to the emergency room.
That was four days ago and still no word that the offending object has left his body. Thankfully, he was given pain medication to use if he has any other incidents of extreme pain. Hopefully, it will pass soon...
School's out! Here are a couple of end-of-school-year photos of Caroline, Spencer and Madison.
I always enjoy seeing lines that little kids make and this cereal line had me smiling. I was laughing when Sarah pointed out Jonah had lined them up from most to least frosted.
Magnus caught a teeny, tiny frog.
Wynne had a winning pinewood derby car.
Abe and Klarissa spent their anniversary celebrating in New York.
Their family had a NASCAR experience.
They were all thinking of their Grandpa Thomas when they saw this huge container of popcorn--Glen's favorite snack!
