As usual--last week we had what is usually a weekly activity: a BYU basketball game. Before the Gonzaga game we met up with Randy and Susan Bambrough at La Jolla Groves for dinner. (Sorry, no picture of them.)
We had eaten at the one in Salt Lake City on Valentine's Day with Glen's nephew and his wife, Clint and Michelle. It was my first La Jolla Groves experience and Glen's second time there.
I was impressed with the beautiful restaurant and the beautiful presentation of the food.
It is now my new favorite restaurant! The one in Provo had an exceptionally beautiful scene for us outside its doors. (This picture would be so much more romantic if Glen didn't have a big "Y" plastered across his chest.)
During the starting line-up announcements, there was another big "Y" we saw which was quite impressive. The students are all wearing white except for the few strategically placed ones who were wearing blue. Awesome!!!
We saw Craig and Kathy Beals at the game (Craig works with Glen) and shockingly enough, out of the half million seats in the Marriott Center--their seats were on the row exactly right in front of us! Here we are looking so happy to be there. We know Glen's genuine, total and utter glee and excitement at being at every game. My happy face was genuine during halftime.
No, it wasn't because of the cheerleaders or the Cougarettes doing their stuff. It was because Cosmo and his Cosmoettes (or whatever they were called) brought trampolines out and were doing all sorts of fancy acrobatic tricks dunking basketballs. It was very entertaining.
Lucky us. We had another basketball game Saturday night. Two games in one week. We all know one of us was ecstatic over this fact. The other of us was just a super good sport.
