In case there might be a person or two on this planet who doesn't yet realize what month it is, let me tell you--it's March.
What is the significance of March? Well, March Madness of course! Rest assured the words "March Madness" would not be part of my vocabulary if I wasn't married to a sports fanatic.
I've always felt like Glen takes the "fan" in fanatic to a whole new level. He's obsessed with sports. Any kind. He would watch them all. If he could.
Hence, the reason he was so excited when his West Coast Tournament Basketball Championships ticket packets arrived in the mail a few weeks ago.
He has been counting down the days until it is time for him to be able to set the cares of the world aside. There are more important things to do.
It's time to sit and watch 4 basketball games every day for a week. That might sound like a lot for some people. Not to my sports nut. He can't think of a thing that would make him happier.
Hour after hour after hour of fans cheering, whistles blowing, buzzers ringing, players running and jumping, balls bouncing and scores changing as he is watching the best-of-the-best playing ball with each other.
Rest assured, while he is watching and cheering and clapping and booing (let's hope there's none of that...!), I'll be in my own special heaven.
My books await...
