Quotes of the Week

-- Neale Donald Walsch

"The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both."
-- James A. Michener

"There is as much wisdom in listening as there is in speaking and that goes for all relationships, not just romantic ones."

General Conference Weekend With Abe's Family

It was nice to have Abe, Klarissa, Newland, Wynne and some of Klarissa's family here with our family for general conference weekend.

Abe felt the need to remind Lincoln that he has an uncle who loves him.
The question is whether Lincoln loved his uncle's loving gestures.
Sibling power pose.

Abe getting all animated talking about his work.
Mother and daughter.
 Grandmother and granddaughter.
In keeping with general conference weekend breakfast tradition, Glen and Abe are helping Newland and his cousin Auggie learn how to dip their ebelskivers into the butter first before dipping in the powdered sugar.
Looks like Lincoln has mastered eating ebelskivers as well.
When Carson arrived, he got busy opening up a napkin for a place mat before he began consuming his traditional breakfast. He must have remembered how messy it was going to be to eat them.
Klarissa's sister Mariah turned out to be the best baby helper all weekend. Although, cheers go out to Rebecca for babysitting Newland and Wynne while Abe, Klarissa, Glen and I went to conference.
Both Saturday and Sunday, Madison kept repeatedly asking her grandpa if it was "popcorn time." Finally, after the second session of conference on Sunday, it was POPCORN TIME!!!!

Newland appreciated Glen's singing of the Primary song "Popcorn Popping" while the popcorn was popping.

It was fun while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end. Time to say good-bye to the little darlings.

The cousins were so busy climbing on the rocks that they had to be cajoled into gathering with their parents for a photo.
The family in the middle is Klarissa's sister's: Jen, Jordan, Adelaide, Auggie and baby Clara.
We will be seeing Abe's family in a couple of weeks when we venture out again to San Francisco to check out their new house.
Love them!! Fun weekend!!
