Natalie graduated from Seminary and will soon graduate from high school. It's hard to believe our first grandchild is reaching these milestones. Time flies!!
Abe's family has been enjoying living the Florida lifestyle. Might as well enjoy it all they can in the time they have left living there.
Rebecca was very surprised when Glen asked her to be prepared to get her picture taken so he could send it to his boss as per his request.
Glen had shared in his team meeting about the success Rebecca had had as Relief Society President in having people who need assistance use the self-reliance plan form.
The children all wanted to jump in the photo with her. Look how tall Brooke is now!
My parents went to dinner at Maddox with Dad's siblings and spouses. All of them were able to attend and I am glad they got a picture taken.

I was so glad I listened to BYU Women's Conference in the morning and afternoon last Thursday and in the morning on Friday. I enjoyed them so much. Truth be told, Glen listened in as well and also enjoyed what was taught.
It was fun to see Ali Gardner Policky (daughter of our friends Chad and Susie Gardner) singing one of the songs.
Our children have been asking if the City of North Salt Lake will be doing fireworks this year. We assumed they are and we now are planning to extend our family vacation to include the big fireworks show at the golf course.
We were so happy to see this sign posted recently which affirms fireworks are absolutely happening! HURRAH!! We missed them last year!
We went to see another play at Hale Centre Theatre.
Rebecca got so excited when we learned the three men of Gentri were going to be in this production, so we invited them to join my parents, Glen and me for a good time. The sad thing is that even though we thought we had planned to go on the day Gentri would be performing--they weren't in the play. SAD!!
But, HAPPY DAY--the actors who performed were FABULOUS!!! We enjoyed the play so much!!
Haley's parents are in town. Haley and Ben recruited Rebecca (and children) to watch their boys while they went to a Jazz game.
Levi is now seven months old.
My latest new recipe was honey-balsamic salmon. I got the recipe from Lynn Maughan, which she fixed for us when we visited them. This was good, but for some reason--food seems to taste better when it's cooked by someone else.
Let's talk more food. Let's talk Cinco de Mayo food. When this ad popped up on Instagram, I just felt like we should take advantage of it.
Glen had asked me earlier if we were having tacos for Cinco de Mayo and I had to sheepishly admit to him it hadn't even crossed my mind. But we can rectify that easily enough!
I called our fellow Costa Vida eaters (minus Ben and Haley who were still enjoying time with her parents) to see if they were in on the idea. They said yes!
Turns out all our schedules were so tight that the only way we could make it work was for us to do an early pick-up and eat dinner it at their home.
Dallas and Caroline were soon on their way out the door to go to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. Brooke was leaving soon to go babysitting.
Rebecca had been doing the book fair at the elementary school for several days. She had Madison with her and they came home after they finished up there.
The late-comers were happy to see there was food left for them. Shortly after they were finished eating, we had to skedaddle out of there as Glen had an early evening zoom meeting. WHEW!! We worked around the crazy coming-and-going schedule of everybody and it all worked out in the end.
Rebecca commented how it was nice to not have to worry about dinner after working the book fair all afternoon. It made me feel so happy to be of service in that small way!
We have had a big project going on at our house. We got a new roof. We were happy it worked out for us to have Glen's nephews, Kevin and Scott Hull and three other men, working the job.
The first day they backed up their dump trailer and got busy scraping all the shingles off the house.
There is Kevin hauling a water shield roll up the ladder.
Scott stopped just long enough for me to snap a photo of him. These guys are such hard and fast workers who don't stop until the job is done.
By that afternoon, their trailer was full and the roof was all waterproofed.
The next morning, a semi truck arrived with all the shingles and they were conveyed from the truck up onto the roof.
Kevin's crew got busy and halfway through the morning we were seeing beautiful new shingles.
By early afternoon the pounding had stopped and I saw the men cleaning up around the yard. It got awfully quiet for a while and I wondered if they had left and would just send us the bill in the mail.
I looked out the window and laughed to see our roofing crew on top of our neighbor's roof taking measurements.
We certainly feel like the best advertisement for this roofing company is the speed with which they got the job done. There have been quite a few new roofs around here after the big windstorm and it takes other crews a week or more to get the project done. Two days for us was amazing!!!
Kevin snapped a photo of our house while he was on Lee's roof. We love this view of our home with the mountains behind it.
Glen wanted roof ridge venting to allow for easier installation of solar panels. He also wanted shingles wrapped over the edge on the gables.
We are happy for the decorative look and we are very satisfied customers!!!
