Ben: Job Interviewing and Graduation

Let's have a catch-up on Ben blog post. This is Ben. This is Ben's diploma. He graduated in December. Then the job search began.

This is what he wore to one job interview.

It was a self-video interview, so this is the view his prospective-future-employer saw.

 This is how he looked when he went to interview on-site with another company.

 He needed moral support from his sister after an interview and food was necessary as well.

This particular morning he was all dressed and ready to go off to another interview, but a previous interviewer stopped him in his tracks with a phone call offering him a job.

He is now officially working for Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City. This is how he looked on one of his first days of work. He looks so thrilled to be a working man!
He got to miss a couple of days of work because of graduation. It seemed a little backwards that he got his diploma three months before he walked wearing his cap and gown.

We went to Tucano's after the commencement exercises. Yes, shockingly I consented to go to Tucano's. The salad bar items were much more appetizing to me than in years past.

John Ko was our waiter. He is a friend of Ben's from his younger school days. He kept shielding his face saying it was company policy that the waiters couldn't be photographed. But we saw another waiter openly posing for someone else's camera. Funny!

Second day of graduation we went to Ben's convocation where he walked and received his fake diploma.

 Sheri Dew was the speaker.

It's official. He's a college graduate. Even though it was official several months ago, this made it feel real.

 

Congratulations Ben on making us the proud parents of five college graduates!!! Job well done!!!

Park and Museum

Sarah bought a new (used) three-seater stroller and was dying to try it out, so we took the kids to a park for playing and lunch.

Continually marveling at how tiny Sarah's baby was at 2 months old.

This little girl has become very mobile now that she can walk. This particular day she found her pacifier that was hooked to her car seat. It proved the perfect way to keep her tethered in one spot for a while.

Carson turned 3-years-old. On his birthday we all went to the Ogden Treehouse Museum (minus Brooke who was in school).
