Quotes of the Week

As we commemorate the birth of Him who is the Light of the world, new light is kindled in each of us.

Today we need His light, the light of Jesus Christ, more than ever.

We need men and women who reflect His light by being peacemakers. Willing to reason with others rather than to contend with them.

--Russell M. Nelson

Before we can successfully undertake a personal search for Jesus, we must first prepare time for Him in our lives and room for Him in our hearts.

In these busy days, there are many who have time for golf, shopping, work, or play -- but no time for Christ.

--Thomas S. Monson

Our lives will be measured by our faith in the Savior, our willingness to follow Him, and the love and goodness we have shared with our family and those who encircle us.

Merry Christmas Day; Dallas and Rebecca's 20th Anniversary the Day After Christmas

These are some Christmas photos of each of our children's families.

BEN and HALEY, KADE, LEVI and MAVERICK

DALLAS and REBECCA, BROOKE, CAROLINE, SPENCER and MADISON

JEFF and SARAH, ELI, CARSON, LINCOLN and JONAH.

JACOB and LAURIE, NATALIE, EMMA, LUKE, LOGAN and CLAIRE.

ABE and KLARISSA, NEWLAND, WYNNE, MAGNUS AND MONTY at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia for Christmas.

After Rebecca's and Ben's families were finished opening their presents on Christmas Day, and the children had some time to play with their new toys, they came over to eat leftovers from the Christmas Eve family dinner.

We were wishing Sarah's family could have been with us both those days, but are glad to hear they are getting better from their illnesses. Glen and I took them some leftovers that day so they could enjoy the same food we were eating.

Ben brought some new games he was sure I would like. Sure enough--not only did I like them, but the others did as well!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to DALLAS and REBECCA the day after Christmas.

I sent them a news article recounting the huge snowstorm 20 years ago which we all experienced as we were trying to get to their wedding at the Salt Lake Temple and their reception that evening in Provo.

The article stated, "On Christmas Day in 2003, the snow started falling, kicking off what would turn out to be one of the worst single storms in Utah history. The storm lasted all the way through the holidays, finally coming to an end on December 31st."

Dallas's anniversary post really touched my heart.
