In the absence of experiences with God, one can doubt the existence of God. So, put yourself in a position to begin having experiences with Him. Ask Him to tell you if He is really there -- if He knows you. Ask Him how He feels about you. And then listen.
--Russell M. Nelson
Many times we hesitate to make the right choices because we try to please the Lord without offending Satan. But we cannot please God without upsetting Satan. We simply cannot serve two masters.
--Massimo De Feo
Every time we visit the temple and perform ordinances there, we are walking on holy ground. We are walking where Jesus walks. No wonder we feel his love so powerfully.

Memorial Day; Baby Due; On the Road to Recovery
Let's see...are we still in a pandemic? By the looks of these masked children, the answer is yes.
Rebecca has been sewing masks like crazy for Just Serve. She even talked Haley into doing some as well.

The Golden family has enjoyed going on some outings.
On Glen's birthday, the Stewarts brought over a sweet gift for him--which I might have eaten waaaay more than he did.
Oh yes! This is picture proof that I was a doting wife to my husband on his birthday. Look at all those floors climbed!! (Little disclaimer that 14 of those floors were from hiking up the steep hills during my morning walk.)
The day after Glen's birthday found him still spending the majority of his time in his recliner. He was feeling great. Very little pain.
On Sunday I insisted we take our traditional weekly photo before we had our sacrament meeting--minus the sacrament as Glen was not dressed for the occasion nor did he want to try kneeling just yet.
Monday was Memorial Day.
We appreciated the work everyone did in the yard.
That evening--four days after surgery--Glen was feeling the need to get cleaned up. He also wanted to try sleeping in the bed instead of his recliner.
He "climbed" up the two flights of stairs one by one going bottom first. He was exhausted by the time he made it to the top, got cleaned up and went to bed. He had a great night's sleep!!
That was another healthy dose day of flight climbing for me.
The next morning it was like I had a new husband...almost... He got dressed for work...almost...
Putting on his white shirt and tie helps put him in the work mode. He'll work on the bottom half of his work clothes on a future date.
With the peg-leg, he insisted he could make his own breakfast. Nice job!!
Off he went to work. We had figured out a good way to elevate his foot while in the office. It is an upside-down bucket from Lowe's. (Chose blue over an orange Home Depot bucket.) We added a round soft thing to cushion his leg. It's working out great!!
Haley and Kade stopped by for a visit. Kade loves his grandpa--even with the peg-leg attached, he wasn't afraid to be held.
Brooke took care of some chickens for a few days.
Caroline's teachers stopped by to give her the Young American Award she had worked so hard to earn.

Bill and Jan came over that day to serenade Glen with the Happy Birthday song sung by Jan and accompanied by Bill on the trumpet.
When Jan offered to bring over some root beer ice cream made in their ice cream machine, Glen exuberantly said YES!!Monday was Memorial Day.
Abe's family enjoyed Memorial Day hiking and swimming.
Looks like they had fun on their cherry picking outing.
Jacob, Laurie, Luke and Logan worked on a painting project over the weekend.
Dallas so kindly consented to mow our lawn in the afternoon on Memorial Day while the rest of their family weeded. Of course to make it a sweeter deal for them, we had them stop for Costa Vida take-out on their way to our house.
The grandchildren had to try out Glen's scooter. We appreciated the work everyone did in the yard.

Kade did take a minute or two to check out the peg-leg.
I enjoyed the words on Kade's shirt.
Yes, it's true! Ben and Haley are expecting baby BOY #2 the day after my birthday on November 5th.
Axe throwing to celebrate Haley's birthday.
Glen's not the only one who rides a wheeled contraption.
Jonah likes to ride his bike--complete with riding gloves.
It's always a good thing when the Excell boys get a change of pace.
The boys got excited about their new swimming pool and got busy getting it all set up.
Sarah's boys are learning how to cook. They each take a turn cooking one day a week.
Glen has now mastered going up and down the stairs--dressed for success from the waist up.
He has even figured out how he can sit wearing the peg-leg using two stools to keep the weight off his foot.
Good thing the peg-leg has a bright orange sole on the bottom to remind me not to walk into it when walking around in the kitchen.
Since it has gotten so hot this week, I have gone out walking first thing in the morning. So much beauty all around with the sun rising over the eastern mountain!!!
This chart gives a great overview of how my floors climbed each day has increased significantly since Glen's surgery on May 21st. He's got one week behind him in the recovery process. Hurrah!!
On that note, I'll let Lincoln's shirt end this post.
Sarah said he picked a great shirt to wear backwards.
