After not seeing each other for quite a few years, my childhood friends and I got together for lunch. It was so good to see them all again and get caught up on what's been happening in each other's lives. (Me, Pam Stewart Byington, Tammy Bruin Gentry, Shellie Bollingbroke Anderson and Kelley Carruth Martin)

Another long lunch happened soon after this one when I got together with my friend Chris Janes Williams the week before her sealing in the Brigham City Temple. Such fun to chat it up for hours with great friends. I was kicking myself that I didn't get a picture of us at lunch, so this one will just have to do.
One evening Glen and I went to see a movie in Farmington and walked into the ParkStone Restaurant right next door and got seated at a table right next to my Aunt Mary, my cousin Angie, her husband Vinicio and their four cute children. That was so unexpectedly random. Just wish we had had more time to visit with each other.
Nani and I have birthdays one week apart and we always plan a birthday celebration dinner during the week. Once again I forgot to take a picture at dinner. I made an attempt to capture the moment a little later in the evening just as the movie was starting.

Here we are at the end of our evening freezing to death while I'm trying to figure out how to get the flash to work on my phone. I tried to figure out how to get the timer to work so we could move away from the camera, but I was failing at that attempt as well. A great photographer I never have claimed to be...!
Speaking of my birthday... My visiting teachers brought me these beautiful flowers.
Abe and Klarissa claimed the following news to be their birthday gift to me from them.
This is how I got my birthday greeting from Glen. It is how we are making our 6-months-and-counting, long-distance, Minnesota/Utah relationship work.
I considered this my heavenly birthday gift when I looked out our bedroom closet window at the beautiful autumn scene with the Bountiful Temple in the center of the view.
We hooked up with Ben after the BYU basketball game on Friday. He would only consent to go to dinner with us if we went somewhere quick. So we quickly pulled into JCW's - The Burger Boys. Ben was raving about how delicious their milkshakes are and judging by size alone--I'd say they are AMAZING!!
